VICTORIA STEFFINS

Singer - Actress - Teacher

How many 2-year-olds do you know that figured out how to use a remote just to watch "Lonely Goatherd" from The Sound of Music over and over... and over again?

Hi, I'm Victoria, and I was that kid.

I am a Louisiana-born woman who grew up in a home and family filled with the love of music. From get togethers that ended in long singing sessions to my obvious obsession with musicals, I started my vocal awareness at a young age. Although I worked on the skill of singing, it wasn't until sophomore year of high school that I auditioned for theatre. My first show was Pride & Prejudice, a story that I grew up watching with my three younger sisters.

And I was hooked.

Now living in San Diego, I instruct at Fred Astaire Dance Studios and entertain as a princess performer as I audition for projects. Having settled into a new city, I'm excited for this next chapter in performing arts.

Most Recent - Angel 1 (Hero The Rock Musical)

In the spring of 2025, I was cast as one of my favorite roles to date - Angel 1 - in Hero The Rock Musical. In this rock adaptation of the Easter story, the role challenged and strengthened my vocal stamina as well as pushed me to develop a further presence of authority onstage.

With classic rock songs that had the audience singing along, it was a wonderful way to make a vocal debut in San Deigo. Keep a look out for an upcoming link to clips from the show!

California Debut - Awaken Theater

Before playing an Angel, I had the opportunity to play other two other roles in Awaken Theatre productions, with the first being Mary's Friend in Twisted: The Musical (2023 & 2024). With 80's pop in mind, this past adaptation of the story gave room for more storytelling in form of promotional reels, including this small clip of Alone by Heart performed by Mary's Friend.

And then there was the opposite end of being an Angel by performing as a Demon a year earlier in Hero The Rock Musical (2024). With it's high demmand of physical stamina and courage as an actress, neither years of Hero disappointed!

Previous Projects

One of my all time favorites was playing Elinor Dashwood in 2018

Between my first show in 2012 and moving to the Golden State, I've had the priviledge of enjoying  several roles from a community stage in Louisiana, a few stages in Texas, and (briefly) a small stage in New York.

Before graduating with my Musical Theatre BFA in 2020, my goal was to hit the ground running with auditions as soon as I had my diploma in hand. But, like many of the graduates that year, my acting plans took a pause.

Because of that pause which changed my plans, I was set on a path that actually led me somewhere unexpected a few years later.

Teaching the Next Generation

In the beginning of 2022, I was blessed to serve as creative director at the youth community theatre that I loved in high school. Within my time there, I directed/assisted in the teams of five full shows, one summer show workshop, and the non-profit's first production of a 24HR Musical.

Now, teaching the next generation of artists is a new passion that began because of a change of my plans. So as I continue to audition, I keep an open heart and mind toward opportunities to teach the arts again.

That's a Wrap!
